Ministry of Education & Youth Consultancy to Develop Strategic Plan for ICT in Education INVITATION TO BID

The Ministry of Education & Youth (MoEY) is seeking Technical Assistance to develop a Strategic Plan that will guide effective and efficient:

Integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) into teaching and learning in Jamaica’s schools and teacher training colleges; Application of ICT to the management and administration of schools and teacher training colleges.

The MoEY is therefore seeking to engage the services of an entity to develop such a Strategic Plan for ICT in Education.

Scope of the Consultancy:

Development of a comprehensive Strategic Plan and accompanying Implementation and Financing Plans to transform curriculum design; teaching and learning; and education administration, through integration and application of ICT in schools and teacher training colleges.

The plan will identify short, medium and long-term policy goals and objectives for education, and describe and design the means by which these policy objectives can be achieved through deployment of ICT in the education system.

Bidders (local and international) must be registered with the National Contracts Commission (NCC), and local companies must submit a valid Tax Compliance Certificate.
