TVET Opening Ceremony

The project's handing over ceremony was held at JMTHS on May 28, 1999

In attendance were various officials from the Embassy of Japan & JOCV including: H.E. Ambassador T. Matsumoto; First Secretary Mr. T. Tanabe; Mr. M. Kanayama, Resident Representative & Mr. M. Kinemuchi, Co-ordinator, JICA/JOCV.

Officials from the MOEYC were also in attendance, including: the Hon. M. Burchell Whiteman, Minister of Education; Mrs. M. Bowie Permanent Secretary; Mr. W. Barrett, Chief Education Officer; Mr. A. Dyer, Assistant Chief Education Officer, Technical Vocational Unit and other officers

This occasion marked the official handing over to the MOEYC grant-in-aid equipment and tools valued at over J$ 49 million.
